CMPTTR

Parent, guardian & mentor guide

Help them become more of who they already are.

A short guide to what CMPTTR is for, what stays private, what you control, and how to get started. Use the “Save as PDF” button to keep or share a copy.

1. What CMPTTR is for

CMPTTR helps a person discover what they want to develop, practice it in real life, reflect on what happened, and build a record of who they're becoming. It is not a resume builder, not an hours tracker, and not a mental-health app. There are no scores, rankings or leaderboards — ever.

2. The development loop

  • Discover — they name what they want to develop: a skill, a quality, a direction.
  • Choose — they pick one small next move that puts it into practice.
  • Experience — they try it: a practice, a project, an opportunity, a conversation.
  • Reflect — they write or speak about what happened, privately, for themselves first.
  • Build evidence — those moments become a proven record they own for life.

3. Privacy: what stays theirs

  • Their reflections — the private writing after an experience.
  • Their moments and personal notes.
  • Their conversations with CMPTTR Coach.
  • Anything they haven't chosen to share with a coach or organization.

4. What you control as a guardian

  • Whether the account is active at all — approval can be withdrawn any time.
  • Whether they can use CMPTTR Coach, the AI development companion.
  • Whether Coach may read their reflections.
  • Whether Coach may read their short pulse check-ins.
  • Whether text message reminders are allowed (off by default).
  • Whether they can share a public profile link.

5. How to get started — three steps

  • Step 1: Your child creates their CMPTTR account at cmpttr.com and enters your name and email. Minimum age is 13.
  • Step 2: They generate a private approval link and send it to you. We never email you out of the blue.
  • Step 3: You open the link, confirm you know they're using CMPTTR, and set the permissions you're comfortable with. Their account unpauses immediately.

6. Questions supporters ask

  • Do I need my own account? No. You only need the approval link.
  • Can I read what they write? Not unless they share it. There is no guardian activity feed — that's deliberate.
  • What if I change my mind? The same approval link is your control panel. Adjust permissions or withdraw approval at any time; their work pauses rather than being deleted.
  • Is this a mental-health app? No. CMPTTR never diagnoses or profiles. If something suggests real distress, the app stops coaching and points to human help — including you.

7. Why the privacy matters

Honest reflection only happens when a person knows it isn't being read over their shoulder. That privacy is what makes the development real — and what makes the evidence they eventually choose to share worth trusting.
